What sports are on usa network? The channel’s main sports offerings include select Premier League soccer matches, NASCAR races, and coverage of certain Olympic events. Other sports may appear for specific events, so the lineup depends on the season and current broadcast rights.
This guide explains what you can generally expect, which events are shown only sometimes, and how to check whether a particular game or race is airing. It also clears up a common mix-up: a sport being shown on a related streaming service does not mean it is on the USA Network channel.
What sports are on usa network?
Soccer and motorsports are among USA Network’s recurring sports offerings. The channel airs selected English Premier League matches and parts of NBC’s NASCAR coverage. During the Olympic Games, it may also carry a range of live events, with the exact sports changing by day.
Not every match, race, or Olympic event is shown on USA. NBCUniversal distributes sports across several channels and services, including NBC, Peacock, and other outlets. The same competition can have some coverage on USA and other coverage elsewhere.
- Premier League soccer: Selected live matches during the season.
- NASCAR: Selected races during the portion of the season assigned to NBC’s coverage.
- Olympic sports: Event coverage during the Games, with the schedule varying by competition and session.
- Other event-specific sports: Some golf, tennis, cycling, or other competitions may appear when broadcast arrangements place them on the channel.
Think of USA as a channel with a changing sports schedule, rather than a dedicated home for one league. A sport’s presence can depend on the event, season, and rights agreement.
Which sports appear regularly, and which are occasional?
The distinction between recurring coverage and occasional events helps set expectations. A sport may appear on USA for part of a season or a special event without having a permanent weekly slot.
| Sport or event | How it may appear on USA | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Premier League soccer | Selected live matches during the league season | Fans checking for a specific weekend match |
| NASCAR | Selected races in NBC’s portion of the season | Viewers following races listed on the NBC schedule |
| Olympic sports | Events shown during the Olympic Games | Viewers looking for a particular event or session |
| Golf, tennis, cycling, and other events | Occasional coverage tied to event rights and scheduling | Fans verifying the channel for a named tournament |
The table is a general guide, not a guarantee that an event will air on a particular date. Broadcasters can move coverage between channels or streaming platforms, especially when several competitions happen at once.
Premier League soccer
USA Network carries selected Premier League matches as part of NBC’s U.S. coverage. It does not show every match. Some games may air on NBC or stream on Peacock, so check the listing for the specific fixture rather than relying on the league name alone.
Kickoff times, match selections, and channel assignments vary across the season. If you follow a particular club, look up that club’s match listing each week and confirm the channel before kickoff.
NASCAR
USA airs selected NASCAR coverage as part of NBC’s share of the season. That does not mean every NASCAR race is on USA. Depending on the race and broadcast plan, coverage may be on another NBCUniversal outlet or a different broadcaster.
Check the schedule for the specific series and race. A listing for NASCAR as a whole may not tell you which channel has the event you want.
Olympic sports and one-off events
During the Olympics, USA can show competitions across multiple sports. The lineup may include events that do not normally appear on the channel, and coverage can vary between live sessions, replays, and highlights.
Other sports can also receive limited runs when a particular tournament or event is assigned to USA. Treat golf, tennis, and cycling as event-dependent possibilities, not fixed weekly programming, unless the current schedule confirms them.
How to check if a game or race is on USA Network
A quick schedule check is more reliable than assuming that a league always airs on the same channel. Use these steps before planning to watch:
- Find the exact event. Note the teams, race, tournament, or Olympic session and its date.
- Check the official event or league schedule. Look for the U.S. broadcaster and the listed channel or streaming service.
- Confirm the USA Network listing. Search the channel guide through your TV provider or a reliable live TV schedule.
- Check the start time and time zone. Listings may display local time, and pre-event coverage can begin before the competition.
- Recheck close to airtime. Schedule changes, weather delays, and event overruns can affect live coverage.
This approach matters most for events with split coverage. A league’s page may list several broadcast options, while a TV guide may show only the events carried by your local channel feed.
USA Network, NBC, and Peacock are not interchangeable
USA Network, NBC, and Peacock are all part of NBCUniversal’s sports distribution, but they are different viewing options. A match listed on Peacock is not necessarily available on USA, and an event on USA may require a TV package that includes the channel.
Before subscribing to a service or changing your cable package, verify the event’s exact listing. Check whether it says USA Network, NBC, Peacock, or another outlet. This small distinction can save you from paying for a service that does not carry the event you want.
Also distinguish the channel from the broader NBC Sports brand. Sports articles and apps may discuss NBC’s overall coverage while referring to games spread across several platforms. The channel assignment is what determines where you can watch a particular broadcast.
Does USA Network still show WWE or NHL games?
WWE Raw is no longer a regular USA Network program in the United States. Its U.S. home changed to Netflix in 2025. Older guides and articles may still describe Raw as a USA show, so check the date of any listing you find.
USA Network is also not a regular home for NHL games. NHL national rights are distributed through other broadcasters and platforms. If you are looking for a specific hockey game, check that game’s listing instead of assuming it will be on USA.
These examples illustrate why old schedules can mislead. Broadcast rights change, and a channel’s historic association with a sport does not guarantee that it still carries the event.
What to know about the USA Network sports schedule
USA’s sports programming can share airtime with entertainment shows and other scheduled programs. Live events may run long, and coverage can shift when a game or race is delayed. A program guide is useful, but the broadcaster’s latest event listing is usually the better check on the day.
For sports with several simultaneous events, the channel may show one competition while another is available through a streaming service. Olympic coverage is a clear example: the channel may carry selected sessions, while the broader event schedule is spread across multiple outlets.
Most common mistake: treating “available through NBC” as the same as “on USA Network.” Confirm the channel name for the exact event, then check whether your TV or streaming package carries that channel.
If you cannot find an event in the USA listing, search the event name together with its date and official U.S. broadcaster. That helps separate the live broadcast from replays, highlights, and coverage on a related service.
USA Network’s sports lineup centers on selected Premier League matches, NASCAR races, and Olympic coverage, with other sports appearing for specific events. Since rights and schedules can change, check the exact listing before you make plans to watch.
For your next game or race, confirm the event date, channel, and streaming option through a current schedule. That quick check is the simplest way to know whether USA Network is carrying it.
