Yes, Sky Sports still shows NFL games in the UK, including regular-season matchups and playoff coverage. Sky’s NFL rights deal runs through the 2028 season, although the games available on a particular day depend on the broadcast schedule.
This guide explains where to find NFL coverage on Sky, how to watch without a Sky TV subscription, and how Sky compares with NFL Game Pass on DAZN. It also covers a common source of confusion: having Sky TV does not automatically mean you have access to every Sky Sports channel.
Does Sky Sports still have NFL coverage?
Yes. Sky Sports remains a major UK broadcaster of the NFL, with live games, studio coverage, highlights, and other league programming. The NFL is often shown on the dedicated Sky Sports NFL channel during the season, but some games or related programs may appear on other Sky Sports channels.
Sky’s agreement with the NFL extends through the 2028 season. That means its coverage is not a temporary arrangement, though individual game selections and channel listings can change from week to week.
Coverage commonly includes a selection of regular-season games, NFL London games, playoff matchups, and the Super Bowl. Sky also carries NFL-related shows and highlights. It does not necessarily show every NFL game live, so check the listings if you have a specific team or kickoff in mind.
Where can you watch NFL games on Sky?
The main place to look is Sky Sports NFL. The channel typically carries a mix of live games and NFL programming during the season. Depending on the schedule, a game may instead be listed on Sky Sports Main Event or another Sky Sports channel.
You can watch through a Sky TV package that includes Sky Sports, or stream Sky Sports through NOW with a suitable Sports Membership. Channel access and membership terms vary, so confirm that the option you choose includes the live Sky Sports channels—not just general sports highlights or on-demand programs.
Sky’s channel lineup can differ by device and subscription. Use the Sky or NOW guide to check the channel and kickoff time on the day, especially for games scheduled at the same time.
Sky Sports vs. NFL Game Pass on DAZN
Sky and NFL Game Pass suit different viewing habits. Sky is useful if you want a selection of live games alongside other sports channels. NFL Game Pass on DAZN is the more direct option to investigate if you want broader access to NFL games and league-specific features.
| Option | What it offers | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Sports | A selection of live NFL games, studio shows, highlights, and other sports coverage. | Viewers who already subscribe to Sky Sports or want NFL alongside other sports. |
| NOW Sports Membership | Streaming access to Sky Sports channels through NOW, subject to the membership and current terms. | Viewers who want Sky’s NFL coverage without taking a Sky TV package. |
| NFL Game Pass on DAZN | A dedicated NFL streaming service with broader game access and NFL-focused features. Availability and features can vary by territory and plan. | Fans who want more games or features centered on one league. |
These services are not interchangeable. Sky’s schedule includes selected NFL broadcasts, while a league streaming service is designed around NFL viewing. Compare the current plans and game availability before paying; the cheapest option depends on whether you want a few featured games or more complete league coverage.
How to find an NFL game on Sky Sports
If you are trying to watch a specific matchup, use these steps rather than assuming every game will be on the NFL channel:
- Check the official TV guide. Search the Sky Sports schedule for the team, game, or kickoff time. Look across the Sky Sports channels, not just Sky Sports NFL.
- Confirm your subscription includes the channel. A basic Sky TV package may not include Sky Sports. Check your package or NOW membership details.
- Check the listing again near kickoff. Broadcast schedules can change, and another game may be selected for a particular channel.
- Consider a league streaming service if the game is not listed. Check NFL Game Pass on DAZN for the game and features available in your location.
This quick check can save you from buying a subscription based on an assumption. If you follow a team with a less frequently televised matchup, verify the exact game before choosing a service.
Does Sky Sports show every NFL game?
No. Sky broadcasts a selection of NFL games rather than every regular-season matchup. Its schedule can include high-profile games, London fixtures, and postseason coverage, but the selection varies.
That distinction matters if you support a team that is not often featured in UK broadcasts. A Sky Sports subscription may be enough for many major games, but it is not the same as access to every game. Check the weekly schedule or compare it with NFL Game Pass on DAZN if complete or near-complete team coverage is your priority.
Can you watch NFL on Sky without a Sky TV subscription?
Yes. NOW offers a way to stream Sky Sports without signing up for a traditional Sky TV package. You need a NOW Sports Membership that provides access to the relevant live channels, and you should check its current terms before subscribing.
Other streaming providers may carry Sky Sports channels as part of their own packages. Their channel availability, device support, and contract terms can differ. Confirm that the plan includes the live channel showing the game you want; a service carrying other Sky content may not include the full sports lineup.
What NFL coverage can you expect during the season?
Sky’s NFL offering is more than a single live game each week. Depending on the schedule, viewers can find studio analysis, previews, highlights, and programs covering teams and league news. Sky also broadcasts selected playoff games and the Super Bowl.
Live coverage is especially useful if you want pregame discussion and analysis alongside the game. On-demand programs and highlights can help you catch up, but they are not a substitute for a live broadcast if you want to avoid spoilers.
For the most reliable viewing plan, check both the Sky schedule and the service’s live listings. Kickoff times can be late in the UK because NFL games are played in North America, and simultaneous games may be split across channels or services.
Common mistakes when checking NFL access
- Assuming a Sky TV subscription includes Sky Sports: sports channels may require a separate package or membership.
- Assuming Sky Sports NFL is the only channel to check: selected games may be listed on another Sky Sports channel.
- Assuming Sky shows every matchup: its live schedule is selective, so verify the specific game.
- Confusing highlights with live access: a program or clip may be available on demand even when the full game is not included in your plan.
- Subscribing before checking the schedule: first confirm that the service carries the game or team you want to watch.
One useful detail: the name of the channel does not tell you whether a particular game is included in your subscription. Check both the broadcast listing and your package access; those are separate questions.
So, does sky sports still have nfl? Yes: Sky remains a UK broadcaster of NFL games, but its live selection is not every game. Check the current channel schedule and your subscription before kickoff.
If you want Sky’s featured games, look at Sky Sports or a NOW Sports Membership that includes the live channels. If you need broader NFL access, compare the current NFL Game Pass on DAZN offer and confirm the games and features available in your location.
